2011-2012 Project: Get an S54 running in an E30 using a stock MSS54 DME
I know in the car recently featured on here with the alpinas had a functiouning M button. Will you be doing this?
Yes. It will work. However, in true r3v style it will probably be a rocker switch that I buy from Autozone. Or maybe I'll use the defroster button, since the rear window defroster doesn't work in my car. Wut.
In for the win. Any "might as well" power upgrades planned?
I'm just going to leave it stock, except for an upgraded exhaust system. I'll be using a stock air filter box and intake plenum.
My first pass at the braking system will be the stock 23mm MC with the pivot moved up 1" and attached directly to the firewall sans a booster, with the MC hole moved up an inch as well.

So the move upwards is in order to clear the plenum? There's no chance in hell this will fit a brake booster right?
The move upward is to increase the leverage ratio of the pedal to around 6:1, which is I guess is decent for a manual 23mm MC. I believe a Golf booster might work, or a tiny Aisin booster as well, but for the time being, I'd like to explore the simplest option possible.
