Got the rears on today
Chocked the front wheels and jacked it up

Removing sway bar links

At this point I had to drop the differential so the trailing arms could be pushed down, therefore letting the spring pop out.
Spring and shock out

Shock going in...didn't have a helper so I had to keep it held up somehow while I climbed in the trunk and tightened the bolts...so I used a wrench and a socket extension (would have used the bolt, but couldn't find it at the time)

Mom saw and had to get a picture...she helped me on the other shock :)

Springs getting ready to go in

Size difference???

Didn't get any pictures of the springs in :(
Aligning differential

Everything together

Got a little update...put the front BC coilovers on today
Gotta have the music

Out

Spring off

Shock out (I had bilsteins in there?)

Cut the strut housings and left 50mm

Sanded all the paint off...got it ready to weld

Welded and painted

On

Putting tie rod and control arm back in (had to use a jack to put pressure so I could tighten up the nuts)

Both sides in and slightly adjusted...mad rake yo

There's still a whole bunch of adjustment...right now the lip sits a little lower than the top of my iPhone. Spring rates are 10k/12k. I drove around the block to make sure everything felt right and it felt pretty nice...it handles soooo much better then stock
Rears should be going in tomorrow if I get some timeLast edited by jaywood; 04-29-2011, 10:21 PM.Leave a comment:

Nice DIYing. I wouldn't have the attention to detail or patience to do half that stuff.Leave a comment:

I used a flathead screwdriver to pry the tabs off from the back of the bumper
It's impossible to not break a couple tabs. There are tabs that you can't see.
You kind of have to push the tab out while you're pushing it to the side to get it to pop. After doing a couple it gets pretty easy, just takes some time.
Thanks :)Leave a comment:
