I am using the e28m5 cooling system and a e28 535i radiator in the normal space, not the condenser box. If your system doesn't cool enough, you can always drive faster right? As far as header clearance goes, you can cheat a little by angling the engine down a degree or two more in the back, then running longer tranny mounts if need be. Subframe spacers help too but I wouldn't go more than 0.5" do your geometry doesn't get too screwed up (also your steering column will be too short).
No matter what, you will be hammering your firewall in a couple places if you want any front clearance wiggle room for hard braking - and you will.

James - that motor is going to be too tall. I think you need to notch the subframe. ;)Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

And some TAB cola.
Oh, and we're going to need a pallet of blue painters tape. I'm on it.

I basically ordered the biggest griffin radiator that would fit between the frame horns and cut to fit....and it works including a ac condenser and a 16in spal fan all under the stock valance and with the stock hood hingesComment
