My thought process behind it was fairly thought through.
I have an amazing E30 that I've slaved over for over 8 years, everything is new, or refurbished, and the 2.8L M20 Stroker really puts the car at a HP level that keeps it fun.
I'm at the point in my life where I'm done being the 1 car modification guy, and have wanted to expand beyond e30's. The Mtech is the perfect streetcar for me, however my E30 ambitions have now moved on to simply racing them.
I've spent a ton of time working on E28's, E34's, etc and have really grown to appreciate them.. so keeping with my trend of building cars that are rare or unique, I figure a 3.6L 24V S38 powered Stationwagon would be a good use of my time.
Yeah its lame, yeah its no E30, but most of my enjoyment is the actual construction of the car, and I don't have the heart to take my E30 apart again :-)
On an E30 note however, I still have Italian 320IS (ie S14) replica on my list, Mtech2 and all (probably white) far down the road, but its planned :p

that's high up on mine, as well - ever since I knew what one was I've wanted to build one... I'd keep it a 2.3 or even 2.5L though, since it's a replica anyway ;)Comment
