no this needs at least 38's on it. 33's are for tiny Toyotas

Just read the whole thread - very neat!

My first thought was weight - a unibody car is already frame/body, then mounted atop a fully boxed steel frame, mega heavy. What do you suppose the total weight would be?

33x10.50 would be a nice tire size. Tall but not dorky wide.

If you actually plan on running it off-road, I would definitly plan on some basic armor. Other than front/rear, side/rocker protection would be a must - don't wanna bang up the e30 body!

Being into 80s BMW and Jeep/offroad myself - this is very neat! I'm also partial to IH and would have personally probably kept the old boat anchor but keeping it I6 is sweet too!

God, I fucking hate this car so much I actually like it. I just can't come to terms with this build. If your goal is to get a reaction, mission accomplished sir.

Have fun with the rest of the build.

Just be lucky you live in the south, I had dreams of a "built right" 4x4 for a long time, but living in hawaii and trying to find a driver side d60 (imagine shipping one of those without using a ground freight service) is madness :P

I'm not on r3v very much nowadays, but I just read through this whole build because your sig caught my eye. Straight beast.

bill is awesome, That rally style E30 is tits. If i werent going for a tow vehicle i would love to have something like that.

Unfortunately straight axles and big motors dont treat a unibody well. Thus tossing it on a boxed US frame. Yes i could have tubed it and welded the seams but i wasnt really into all of that.
