I'll need an extra set of hands for sure when I do the M50 swap. I'm shooting for July to get that done. This weekend I will:

Replace CABs - 32$ at Automall BMW btw
Convert to late model brakes front and rear
    Gut interior
    Oil Change/Transvestite Fluid
    Post pics
    Profit.

Sick man. Anything is a huge help with this car. I really think this car would be headed for the wrecker if it weren't for E30 enthusiasts.

The car is coming along. Its still idling high at the moment(about 1200-1400rpm) but I've been driving it to work every day. It eats alot of gas for a 4cyl so I have to figure out why its running rich.

Theres a ton of mold in the interior including in the seats, carpet, headliner and rear deck. So I have to strip that out and get all new stuff. Which is awesome but I don't have too much of a budget yet.

This past weekend I scored some Bilstein HD shocks and Eibach springs from the junkyard. I bought the whole front assembly so I can upgrade to vented rotors. On Friday I will be ordering caliper rebuild kits and rebuilding the ATE calipers. Also some rotors and decent pads. After that I'm gonna order all new bushings/control arms for the front and it should be totally rebuilt suspension wise. I'll get a rack from a junkyard and rebuild it.

Once the front is done I'll get the rear trailing arm setup and upgrade to disc brakes and rebuild the whole sub frame with new seals, bushings and paint as well as upgrade to a 3.73 LSD

Once I'm rolling nice and smooth I'll start to tackle interior and exterior problems. I plan on installing a clean dash and making custom door panels out of sheet metal. Also I will not be running a back seat or rear side panels, those will be made from MDF and covered with carpet.

About August I'll be doing 24v swap. Not sure which motor yet. I'll probably go for an m50/m52 because of the availability and price.

I will be running a roll bar of some kind and some decently aggressive racing seats.

Heres my stages and lists more for my own need than anything.

I have an old Nissan Bluebird as my daily. Your build in some regard is very much similar to your BMW. When we first got it, it wasn't AS bad as your E30, however it was very dirty and was full of cigarette butts, a fair amount of mechanical problems (luckily the vast majority weren't terminal, the worst being the head gasket).

Once you start spending time on a car, and one improvement after another, you become attached and enjoy it. It'll never leave your hands until it's rooted.

It's incredible to see people as devoted as I am to our cars. You should be proud. Keep up the good work man, I love all the work you're doing.

And remember: Do it once, do it right! You don't want to have to revisit all your repairs.

            Cheers.

Ha well, Another forum member came by and asked if I was taking the Bilsteins. After I told him hell yeah, AND they had Eibachs, he started telling me he was gonna kill his wife. Haha.

                Good times.

But I've been horrendously sick because of my pneumonia and I haven't worked on it at all.

However I did tuck the front bumper! Also there were 3 bolts total holding the front on. So I got some more hardware and now the front is lined up correctly. Will post pics once I can go outside.

                    Interior Damage:

I pulled the back seat today only to find disgustingness. Now I know why it smells so bad.

A little closer look will show you what this stuff is. Mold. Nice.

It always helps to wear super sick gear while working on your E30.

I also did a quick valve adjustment. While performance is better, valve noise increased 3 fold. I triple checked each valve, so I'm wondering if I should go a little bit softer than standard spec. I also cleaned up the valve cover.

Note, The valvetrain is insanely dirty.

I also took apart the front bumper while doing a bumper tuck. The front damage was pretty bad.

The bracket, below, was broken. It accounted for alot of the front end chatter. Turns out that there were only 5 screws holding the entire front end on. I found some that will work temporarily, but I need to order 5 to 10 more.

                          No welder = JB Weld

                          POST TUCK.

Currently grille-less. But heres a little something to show you what I'm working on.
