    Sam's s52obd1; 5lug e36m+318ti Project

    Starting Over:
Cleaned up my photobucket account and it I lost a lot of pics so I’m redoing this page with nothing but pictures. That’s all anyone cares about anyways right? Still a little WIP....BTW I bought the car 7/6/2009 as of 2/1/11 still a little WIP
    Car:

    After buffing

    Interior

Seats that I’m going to sell or recover

Interior will be black, I’ve got the carpet to replace the tan if anyone wants to buy decent tan cloth carpet

Valance was bent a little and I don’t like the rock guard paint

No plan on running ABS and going 5lug anyway so it’s just a pain and takes up space and weight that don’t need
    How it normally looks

How it looked using the T that a lot of people used, also removed the insulation in this pic

Everything removed and the brake lines rerouted(12/07/10)Edit- I don't recommend using this setup for e36m components. 21mm MC on the car could not handle the big calipers from the e36m. I upgraded to a 25.4 mm MC from a 750 and have to rerun my lines once again.

On a 325i car you can rerun your brake lines like this to remove the ABS

Well when you upgrade to a 25.4 MC then you loose the 3rd port. New lines

    Getting there

    Motor being cleaned

    Hot I got the car

A little cleaning goes a long way

    Swap time

    Spal time

    Massive’s Brackets, Highly recommend

Tranny brace from white325is, might need to notch the holes to get the bushings flush

Crap all you want as I don't care.

Rear of the Head goes to the where ever the valve is on the heater core. Usually this will be the bottom, however there are some heater cores that have it on the top-
Spider hose will go to the opposite of the back of the head hose -

***FYI anyone using the e36m calipers should seriously consider upgrading the MC when doing this swap. The 21mm MC just doesn't flow enough to keep a firm pedal. I went with a 25.4mm MC from a e32 750. ***

Thanks man. Put a lot of hours into it and its finally getting to the point of being able to be driven. Running into a couple of snags at the moment though.

Having an issue getting the brakes to bleed and hold pressure correctly even with a brand new 25.4 ATE MC. Also think my fuel pump gave up the ghost this past Sunday. Was running perfect now it doesn't turn over. :(

One of my favorite wheels on the e30 with the e36m brakes. BUT I'm not liking where they are sitting so I'm probably going to go with some e36 wheel with a better offset for this setup.
