Well of course, the show isn't that good, lol. I didn't realize you had all that going on!
Congrats on the upcoming addition to the family!Leave a comment:

With the wife's due date the same day as Bimmerfest, it's doubtful I'll be going, even if I get the car done enough to go.:( Plus the closing date of our house is the 28th of August, so it's going to be a busy time and I just don't see it being a reality to commit to it at this point. If, and it's a big if, the wife delivers early and the car is done enough, I may try to go, but if she hasn't delivered by the 23rd, I'm not going to drive to Aberdeen and risk her going into labor with me not with her. Tough choice, but we've talked about it and I've pretty much resigned myself to not making it. The baby's and her well-being are obviously more important than my desire to make the show. Disappointing to say it, but I might as well be honest about it to myself and everyone else...

Thought I'd post up a couple of shots of where the car sits, as of today...

Still need to do some fill and prep work on the bumper skins and wing before I paint them... then it's mostly just re-assembling and cosmetic stuff...

If you take this car to bimmerfest east then I will bring my e30 instead of the e36. We can roll down together, haha.Leave a comment:

Not much in the way of massive updates... been busy at the shop, the wife is due in 6 weeks with our third and we're in the process of buying a new house, so the car is playing third fiddle right now. I have been working on it, but not much free time. I'll see if I can get some pics up of where it sits now...

Again, it's not finished, so there are no clamps on the clear fuel hose yet. The union won't leak once it's finished and it's removable in case I need to for servicing. I appreciate the paranoia, but I'm not concerned about it at all. It will be fine when it's all finished up...arent you worried that the part of the pipe going from the tank to the filler, will be full of fuel, and has a union that is right above the battery? the clear pipe looks great, but i would consider a pipe welded ther ... call me paranoid, but that car is extremely nice to risk a fire because of that pipe.
