Project 88 325is, vert replacement (because racecar content) -- R. I. P.
Correct, and my head didn't get even close to the cage. My belts and seats held me in solid, and the cage is built way the hell into the corners of the car as far away as possible from head-knocking room.

Interesting. I know that's always the first argument people make when someone wants to drive a caged car on the street haha

Honestly I built it just to have a place to sit and listen to Hotline Bling on repeat.
sad to see it go, but if / when they have to go, its a better feeling they went out doing something fun, unlike the tb's, at least your car died an exciting death.
and glad your fine.
cars come and go, but body parts are all custom builds.
you pretty much walked away from death sayin "later dude :) "
now go back to that corner and name it something...like "justins-j-turn" or put up a car-like cross

I don't know Justin, not really a lost, it served it's purpose, I get the feeling you feel the same, no?
glad you're ok and thumbs up for safety., happy B'.
Yeah, I'd be toast if the car wasn't built like a fucking tank with that cage. I'm going to cut it out and throw away the shell, and maybe incorporate some of the cage into a new build. Somehow. It's not all lost, and what is, it definitely served it's purpose.
Never frowned once about the incident. Happy to just be able to think "oops, fuck *CRASH* .....*Flipping* this is a new feeling" *Lands upside down* and laugh as I had to crawl out of my driver side window.
Rolling tank was the first impression I got when your built got to strip, mega cage and let it be exterior.
Don't be mad, but smirked when saw the crash pic., only becouse it took me back to mountainbiking and body armor,
the more I put on, the more of a roll and tuck attitude I took with a bigger smile after every hurtful but fun crash, lol. kind of like you did.
can't wait to see new no b.s. build. :)
did I miss the play by play 3 seconds of adrenalin fun ? any slow motion action you recall ? 8)
Unfortunately I didn't see much, as it was complete darkness after my battery was thrown around in my trunk and tore the positive terminal off. I remember the point leading up to leaving the road though, kind of just, oh, oh yeah, I'm going off, oh boy.... rear end caved in from a smallish tree that I obliterated and I saw a whole lot of nothing but tree branches and darkness, a tree or two, more branchness and a lot of darkness... and crashing through brush and shit noises.
I am taking apart the car now, a couple days ago I stripped it most of the way down. Tomorrow I plan to chop the front of the car off and fuck picking up the motor, i'll drag it out the front with the transmission and broken shift console and half the driveshaft all as one piece. As the motor mounts broke, and the transmission mounts tore apart, the driveshaft apparently separated itself in the middle, too. Pretty sure anyway.
I'll have carnage pics of more detail in lots of particular spots tomorrow before I chop it apart to get at my cage.
