over the last few days ive been on light duty sort of. only get a few hrs in the afternoon.
Basically ive just been finishing up all the electrical, water, and intercooler plumbing. i fabbed some shitty mounts for the intercooler and oil cooler. ill have to fab some mounts for the top too at some point. ill have some pics added to this post soon.

all i have left to do is
    finish fmic plumbing
    driveshafts
    exhaust
    ecu (miller WAR chip)
    tune
    bumper
cut valence to fit and respray that anti chip crap.

    Update 3/28/11

i felt pretty sick over the weekend and decided id be better off getting some rest. today was the first day back at it and i didnt get too much done. i spend more time deciding what to work on than actually doing it. i spent a lot of time dinkin around with my IC piping now that the turbo is in its final place. the only tricky part i have left is going to be mounting the IC and oil cooler an cutting my front valence to fit.

ALSO: forgot to mention some other things i did before i started the thread
    full power steering delete
full A/C delete (including aux fan and condenser.)

    Today i:
bolted the trans+t/c to the car
    re-attached slave cylinder
installed the starter after i had the engine in...such a pain.
    messed with the intercooler piping.
    installed the downpipe for kicks
mocked up my ignition wires to see how the white paint looks. im thinking about doing the intake manifold the same color at some point. what do you guys think? havent really seen any alpine intakes.

    hmmm...ill figure something out.

    downpipe

    alpine white wire thing

i wish i had an extra inch on that pipe. other than that it should fit nicely.

Friday i will be ordering my WAR chip package from miller. i wish i could afford the maf..maybe later.

haha that would be so dope. i know people have done 24v ix's but never heard of an m30 one! no more turbo info sorry. its going to get upgraded soon though with a REAL turbo.

I'm confused how you are going to keep the awd without keeping the ix specific oil pan.
Did you weld it up to the replacement engine?
even though the the block is an "iX" block is still cast from the same mold as the normal m20s. the only differences are in the machining of a few holes here and there. that being said the oil pan bolts right up to any m20.
