I went over it with lots of feedback from tracking threads and such. It will be perfect for what it will be doing, and wonders over the under cam'd head that BMW had them come with.

Sorry for the slow updates, but parts are being shipped in and shop is busy. So maybe I can get it in for a late night pull on Wednesday =)

Till then I will leave you off with this bad boy! It just got in today! (284)

You are most welcome, that is why I am doing it. I could not find a thread that covered places to buy and parts #s and a end price. I have all parts #s and total price so far to give you an idea of money needed to complete this. Also to save time, I have spent HOURS on HOURS of tracking down the needed part #s and correct things needed to make this work. I am also covering how to make your own m52 crank spacer.

Granted I am doing a FULL rebuild, so the price is a lot higher...s50 swap higher almost xD I am saving him money because I rebuild engines. Only thing that is being done at a shop is: block and head dip/bath and balancing the crank, rods and pistons.

How about a few dyno pulls too? That is going to happen too, I am doing everything people ask in other threads. I want it so someone can come and read one build and not need to save shit tons of sites to get it done =)

I will also be putting up a video w/pictures on what is needed to do for a port and polish.

Update: Talking to brother tonight and seeing if he wants to order the 284 cam. I thought he might as well since I am about to remove it and port & polish the head. Still could not contact Miller or Crank-scrapers. I will try after work again tomorrow.

After searching about cams I am going to go with the Schrick 284 with stock springs. Since I just rebuilt the head it needs nothing else.

-Should I get b25 replacement springs or is there something else?
-Do I need one of these with the 284 cam? If so should I have the block skimmed .5mm?

Agreed, was thinking those #s are at the crank. Also no info is mentioned about cam setup or fuel management, as stated in my good night post.

I am trying to contact them as I type. I still cannot reach crank-scraper...annoyed

It's nice to dream big, but Metric Mechanic got around that number from a 3.1 stroker, you will still notice a huge amount of torque, My friends 2.9 was awesomely fast.

Your engine only has 1 (one) camshaft. And you are going to need a big one plus all the other things a big cam needs to get your desired WHP #s.

Download the 2.8 stroker PDF and read the specs. I am just going by what I see from the dyno. I don't expect those high 200 numbers but this over all will be very good =)
