    go with expensive custo....

you can use Maxsil pistons but you might just have to have the skirts shortened a bit by the machine shop. No big deal. Or maybe they make short skirt versions? Better to call them and ask.

Did you see the crankshaft I am using? Knifed AND shorten the counter weights. That is the reason I am not switching out to a different crankshaft.

I called and they are not open, it is Labor day. But I checked out their site and they sell piston kits. So I hope that this can be sorted out soon. Just about sick of this shit, if I knew all this BS was going to happen(machine shops, asshole sellers etc) I would have put the m30 in and been DONE. FML

you're using an m52 crank, right? You should have no problems with clearance if you already shortened the crank

I don't understand why you're not just grabbing another set of i pistons. That's what you should run.

That is what I want to do, and the whole reason of that thread I posted in the m20 section. I am just wondering what OEM ones to buy.

              Post# 105 on page 7:

So I am buying new pistons and getting the block top machined & honed. Hoping to get this done together soon.

Info on the pistons if someone can chime in =)

I haven't seen anywhere that sells new b25 pistons with the stock domes on them.

Lol this is how I feel. I traded a pristine condition M42 and put $400 on top of that for an m50nv and I can't get it to run for shit. I feel like it's something simple but damn. It's been in the car for two weeks and nothing. I could have thrown the m42 in and be set.

Bottom line is, you can't think like that lol. You'll be happy with what you have. Just keep up the good work!

This is not my car, building it for my brother. And building my Sister's on top of that. Then when I have free time I build on my own. FML

Did you bore the block +.05? Can you still use the b25 pistons if you do the overbore?

Im in the middle of researching/planning my stroker, this definately has some good info so thanks lol.

& you had to shorten the short skirt pistons AND m52 crank to fit correct?

I am just honing the block and using the pistons that were in it.

I had the crank shortened to clear them.

I am just having the pistons balanced to the ETA rods and m52 crank. Reason for that is to make sure the new parts are balanced to one another. From factory the parts used would have NEVER seen one another.

Inline six engines don't have their rotating/reciprocating parts balanced to one another. ( crank, rods, pistons are balanced separately)

Sorry, I ment the crank balanced and the pistons balanced to the rods.
