NICE swap man. Got the coilovers in yet? What sort of hp specs does the Beams engine have standard?

regarding David Towe's car it is one of the first Group A M3's that competed here in the late 1980's thru to 1992.

Can't say for sure, but I would say it has custom hubs pressed into the modified standard trailling arms. The front of the trailling arms was usually modified for camber / toe and roll centre height adjustments. Later versions of the M3 had completly custom tublar arms.

Got the tyres all mounted up and finally have some pictures for people interested in the XXR530's.

    The rims are:- 16x8 +20 with 215/40R16 Federal 595-SS

Still no centre caps as i hate them and want to make something else to fit there.

Also got the seat covers on and cleaned other things up.

Waiting to be able to afford a M3 Alcantra wheel and some nice Recaros.

Gearstick looks like it is in 5th when in neutral too, so i need to cut and shut the Altezza 6 speeds gearstick.

    Coilovers next friday i hope!

Was concerned about the nuts fitting as they appeared to look the same size as the standard bolts which just grabbed the paint of the wheel when test fitted.

So test fitted them (sorry still no tyres nor did i have any wood to prop them up)

Got some seat covers for roadworthy purposes (really ahrd to find something that wasn't too lairy) until i can afford some nice Recaro's etc.

Also cleaned all the wheel wells whilst the wheels were off, and cleaned all the black trims (car still has not been washed in months) with some Meguirs black trim restorer which turned out really nice i think.

Still waiting on wheels and tyres. How long can it take? 3 weeks for the coilovers apparently...
You are very welcome! I cant wait to see the car when the wheels are on!

    Thanks for the update.

Did you happen to take any shots of the complete car with the 530s fitted up?

    Coilovers delayed again....

Wheel studs and nuts arrived (Thanks Kaliboy)

Hoping they will fit the XXR's, as the standard bolt heads were very close/rubbing the outside of the holes when i tested them. I really don't want to have to lathe them down to fit....

Will try sometime this weekend and atleast get some fitted photos (minus tyres still....)

Will have them mocked on the car this w/e (studs arriving), but the tyres will not arrive for some time (the issue with not wanting to pay top dollar for tyres)

    Cheers.

Here is a picture of the crossmember modifications (uses the stock altezza hollow alloy engine mount stays and engine mounts with modified crossmember pick ups, welded then painted to match to look stock etc)

Front sump like a M40 but not as low thank god! oh and it will dent rather than crack (in theory....)

Also shows the cross over pipe we made to match the Beams layout (inlet and outlet on one side of the engine)

    The wheels arrived today.

Thanks must go out to NLM Motoring as they arrived in only 3 days! i had been searching online for these for a while and all i could find was people saying they had just received them from a month old pre order or people still waiting.

After mine showing up a guy at work was interested for his E30 so we looked at the site again and they now say out of stock. So maybe i was lucky? anyway onto the pics.

    XXR530 in matte black 16x8 +20

I was glad to see that the concaveness was close to the pictures i had seen in this small size/offset. I couldn't bolt them on though since the std bolts are too wide. Took the last two daggy mudflaps off too.

    Coilovers/studs etc still to arrive.
