Thanks Jim! Haha. I'll have to get you a ride someday.

Wheels look amazing. I'm wondering, couldn't you run a smaller spacer to eliminate the poke?

Looks great, love the wheels. One of my all time favorite. One thing though, that front bumper and valance looked like they could use some paint. Besides that car looks great.

Thanks Matt, I can't wait to go for a ride. I agree, the next step is to take off the 15mm spacers and add washers to space out the front wheels until they are perfect and then measure the washers and buy the spacer and wheel bolts. Great minds think alike.;)

Thanks! There are other minor issues with the body that will have to be taken care of before paint. I am going to work a little more on the wheel fitment, so I don't have to roll/pull the fenders with new paint, and install the trunk lid, without the third brake light, then the car will be going into a paint shop in either Alhambra or Orange County for a fresh coat of Diamond Schwartz. I will also have the top re-upholstered inside and out and I have 5 yards of Mtech fabric for the inside just sitting here waiting for the paint to get done.

My thanks to the rest of you for your comments.

              Cheers,

              Jim

I like were this is going, take me with you. You found a brake-light-delete trunklid?

Come on along, but you gotta bring your nickles ;) I have found a black trunk ($40) and a gray trunk (FREE) both without third brake lights but have not picked either one up yet. As far as the illusive Diamond Schwartz trunk lid goes I found one on the east coast and shipping was more than twice what we can get one for at the junkyard out here. It looks like I am going to paint the underside of the trunk lid when the car gets painted which is not big deal. I was just trying to keep things simple for the painters.

                  Cheers,

Is that gray trunk lid sterling silver by chance?

If you mean like the precious metal then no. But you do know the OC guy that I am getting it from. Is that enough of a hint?;)

I'm going this weekend to look at an E30 M3 and a dogs leg...

I just got a shipment from Holland to add to the build. Thanks to Levent for your help.

The strut bar and the valve cover were the main things I wanted to find.

Seeing I found the steering wheel I guess I need to find a nice shift knob now too.

This piece won't fit the vert so a good friend is getting the dead pedal.

I have to figure out how to make this work. It does not have a coding chip but where there is the will there is a way.

I will have the seating edge of this checked and milled if necessary to make sure the oil will stay where it belongs. Then hot tanked and powder coated to look like it did originally.

Seeing that I have the strut brace and valve cover I need to find a set of Hargtge headers to finish off the motor bay.

                          Cheers,

                          Jim

Nice! I like the Hartge bits! The cluster should have a coding plug in the back, early clusters have them too.

Awesome project. Did you get the fabric from ejohnson over at e30tech? I just bought 17's for my MTII, and I'm afraid they'll look to small. I really wish I could've gotten 18's. Your wheels look great, they just look tiny on MT's:
