Utter Bullshit. Silicon Carbide is pretty much the sharpest, hardest, most abrasive shit known to man. It can and will fuck up lots of things inside your engine like rod/main bearings and cylinder bores.


That being said, nothing is going to happen until the damn engine runs again. Have your skinny jeans restricted the blood flow to the get your ass in gear side of your brain?

Pulling the Pan isn't hard, I did it in three hours On a friends M20 Rally car, Drop the steering rack, subframe and its easy as fuck to do.

put the cam seal in and then pretty much reassembled the rest of the head (oil return line, cam pulley, rotor, rocker plugs.) im about to put the intake mani on the head for easy installation :up:
kind of a slow day, my GF was here all day, she whines that i never work on it but when shes with me and i try and work on it she gets all mad n stuff, it doesnt really work.

btw does anyone know the torq specs for the camshaft bolt? i can't hit it any deeper by hand because it spins the camshaft (herp derp) but i recon with an impact gun/drill it would get a little tighter.

on a bad note i just was tightening up the 10mm bolts that hold the cam seal ring in and one of them decided to break off in the head :D
yayyyyy.
too pissed to look at it so i have no idea if its broken off inside the head or protruding.

Those pesky bolts, always breaking on their own just to wind you up!

May i suggest a torque wrench until your elbow is better calibrated?
