A lift sounds like it would help a whole lot.

But I'm not even gonna worry about it.

Your bearings wouldnt get hurt. Just do a new filter and oil at like 500 miles...?

Utter Bullshit. Silicon Carbide is pretty much the sharpest, hardest, most abrasive shit known to man. It can and will fuck up lots of things inside your engine like rod/main bearings and cylinder bores.

That being said, nothing is going to happen until the damn engine runs again. Have your skinny jeans restricted the blood flow to the get your ass in gear side of your brain?

Sounds like the oil pan is gonna have to come down for sure now.

lol I scotchbrited my old block. then used brake cleaner and stuff, it is fine atm.

I just remembered how we did it. Lots of rags, brake cleaner, and air gun. I blew all the passages out really good.

When I did the oil pan (cant remember if I did that before or after putting the head on) I sprayed the block out good with brake cleaner as well.

right around 1000 miles on it, no knocking yet. I guess that is when the engine is destroyed if the scotchbrite messed it up
