Hey, that came out pretty kick-ass! I like that it's different :)

Regarding the Porsche booster: yes, you can use them with some modifications. You will have to shorten the shaft, and thread it an additional 1/2". You can use a 944 booster from 1983-1990, and I believe you can use one from a 924 as well, but I am not sure about the years on that. Tehe bolt spacing on the `83-`90s should be the same, and it's about the easiest one to mount.

Keep in mind that this booster (as well as the E21 booster, etc) will give you LESS braking boost than the stock E30 MC. There are cheap vacuum reserve canisters available (there was just a thread about this) that will give you extra vacuum. This should give about double the amount of boost. Otherwise, the pedal feel will be substantially harder.

Nice to see some updates. I'm waiting on parts for my swap (FedEx LOST my dang package!), so I have to live vicariously through other people actually getting to do work on their swaps!!

This. While I'm not planning to run out and paint my engine bay seafoom green or anything, I do find it fascinating what things are and aren't 'allowed' on E30s. It's like there's some self-appointed Style Police who think it's their duty to ride in and dog on other people's work. There really is more to life than MTech & BBS (although I like, & aspire to, both those things). In the end, if Jay likes it, then Kool & the Gang. Same as anyone else's mods to their own car. This shit makes we want to go get big flower stickers and put them in my engine bay, just to watch people get all apoplectic.

I understand that when you post a thread with pics & info about your car, you are inviting comments & criticism; it's just the tone of the criticisms that leave me scratching my head.

There's nothing wrong with putting the owner's personality into the car.
I think it gives it character.

I own an alpine white 2 and just about everyone I know. There's nothing wrong with doing something different to make a car standout.
