I'm not really seeing big egos in this thread, but i did only scan over it and was looking at the paint parts/posts. So i'm seeing hate on the paint that looked like it was plucked out of nowhere. I truly dont get this reasoning? Maybe when the spray bomb paint job begins to flake off, it will look like a cloudy sky? I'm not getting the look of a engine bay that is a color that is out of place on a car.

I don't even own a wrench or know how to DO ANYTHING related to motor swaps, strokers, suspension setups, welding or rebuilding wheels. I stay on this forum to look at the pretty pictures and jerk off to Asians hanging from engine hoists.

I pay other people to do the work for me or I give lots of head. So don't act like you are the bomb till you pay a mechanic with head. Ask the asian who started this thread, she knows...

So again you are right and I have NO IDEA what work in involved in tearing a motor down and rebuilding it back up to 0 miles.

So click the links below this line, I have some of my favorite builds in there.

FYI, I ran out of breathe reading your comment, learn to add punctuation and proper grammar. It is like this world is funny of stupid people that cannot learn to end a sentence.

Good for you , its great that you share the same passion as we do.
If I could talk to everyone one on one i would, For people to realize they're on this thread because they love and enjoy cars, not because they want an account to make fun of other people's car. Cars are cars whatever you do to them they have the same value. They're your bestfriend, they take you to places, they're reliable as long as you're realiable to them.

I've notice, I knew what I was getting myself into as my boyfriend warned me but it is what it is, deal with it or leave it. But John and I really appreciate you for sticking around and supporting!

Now that there are e30s to buy cheaply, and mod cheaply, the 2002 is mostly left alone and is now built/ restored by a different kind of owner. The e30 will go the same way as the 2002 as e36's and parts come down in price even more. I guess my deal is this... if you want to have fun, I am all for that. But you need to be open to criticism (which the OP is). Many members of this forum are playing a protective role when others state an opinion that seems to be stated in 90% of all these types of build threads. I think some OG's who didn't expect to see this car become so widely popular and are protective of what they started, and the work they put in 10 to 15 years ago when performance parts were hard to find. There are guys out there that went through alot of trial and error in order to do things right. Now when someone stickers their hood, or rust's their car, or paints their bay a weird color, they (I) don't see it as the culture we initially got into. So it upsets us that so many are taking the easy way out when alot of OGs couldn't or wouldn't. By all means, have a blast with your car. That's why you bought it.
As far as what you've done with your swap, I am sure you went over it with a fine tooth comb before you dropped it in your car. I have an M20 sitting in my driveway as we speak that is headed in Dilsnik's red car. We will look at EVERYTHING to make sure all is good, and replace what needs to be replaced, but some items should be addressed no matter what like the TB and WP. Why not replace these wear items? Why not take the oil pan off to make sure the main bearings and oil pump are fine? It seems like a no brainer to do these things. Just like in painting an engine bay, why not remove EVERYTHING instead of painting over things like ground straps, and accelerometers.
    Just my opinion.
Gotcha.. I see where you are coming from. I didnt read the whole thread, so I took what you said a little out of context I think. Props to the OP for wanting a swapped e30 in the first place

I think you and delatlanta think a lot more closely than you think you do. The last time i saw your car there was no fake carbon fiber, trendy stickers, hello kitty colors or any bullshit to speak of. I do remember Real suspension, Real motor, Real wheels/tires, no cut corners, or boyfriends doing the heavy lifting HAHA! Not to mention the car gets used as intended. Perhaps the only thing lacking is an unlimited budget to do everything all at once, like most of us here. I wish i still had my M30 car to autoX against you with. Another M30 will be coming...
Yeah I think you're right.. Get going on the m30! Or bring the 911 out to the next auto-x.. Did you swap motors yet?

Do work and I think you will find most people giving you respect. Talk shit and you are asking for a gang bang. Good luck as this started off in the right direction and I truly hope it gets back on track. You and your girl have a chance to have a really nice setup on her car. Like I said, Good Luck and I hope you guys have a fast turn around. My build was over 2 years.

Honestly, without him I have no confidence of getting it done all by myself, He's the one that constantly reminds me about the disadvantages of "half ass" work on cars. He'd spend years to finish the car rather than a couple weeks to show it off. he's guide me through everything. I've learned so much from him he's a great person. John! don't be bothered by it , we don't need to explain ourselves. You've done swaps when you're 16 all on your own ,that shows skills. There's a reason why they spend so much time on my thread instead of on their cars. Which is totally fine with me, this thread is started by me and for my own records and benefits and also for people that are interested in the swap, not neccessarily convincing people you must do it. So no matter if the comments are negative or positive Im still me, posting updates from the starts. Haters are like bugs they're meant to bug people, you can't kill them all so let them do what they're made to do. It's just a little insect with big egos but everyone has a good heart to begin with

Have a great day and keep checking back ~

DUDE, you know that thread with the white car and blue engine bay? The blue would look awesome on the crane with a black base.

It matches your bike lift though, so if you did paint it, you would probably have to paint the bike stand as well. I would go with Harbor Freight orange.
Maybe Jay can chime in and give suggestions...
