Jay & John thought the fuel pump was bad, so they bought a Walbro. They can hear the pump prime sometimes, but John says there's not enough fuel pressure happening.
I think they're more than a little frustrated...

Yep! Check the basicsA lot more than you probably hope. Start with the most common things. The engine needs air, spark, and fuel to start. Make sure you dont have vac leaks, make sure you are getting spark, fuel etc...
It takes time but just do it step by step and hopefully you come across the problem sooner than later.Leave a comment:

kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.
I think that the smurf jizz in the engine bay smothered/shorted the S52 sparks out.
Keep up the good work!Leave a comment:

It looks like Jay and John may have an E34 harness, rather than an E36 one...
I know John was going to work on a pinout chart for a 525...anyone happen to know if there's just one 'magic wire' that's different on the E34 than the E36 one? :)Leave a comment:

So right now it cranks but won't fire up....what could it possibly be?Leave a comment:

No worries! I told John I was going to catch up to you guys...and 10 minutes later you guys had it cranking! I think he just needed the motivation.
Guess I WON'T be able to catch up!
For anyone following along at home who's wondering what the wiring issue was, there was a ground wire hooked up to a piece of metal that John had painted and he forgot to strip the paint off the part where the wire attaches...which reminds me...I need to go do the same thing!!!
Can't wait to see more updates from you guys!Leave a comment:

Thanks Kingston for helping us along the way ! Wiring was the most frustrating thing we had to deal with. John literally tried everything you/Tim/ research had ever suggested. Thankfully I got my friend whom works as a BMW tech, Freddy came and helped. He got it to crank, another step closer ! Anyway thanks so much for helping out and checking up on us all the time, John and I really appreciate it :)
