If anyone wants to take a look at my photobucket account I have uploaded 2 new pics of the wheels installed with 20mm spacers! I will copy pics across tomorrow
awesome project and story. let me know how you like those ecsta XS's, i'm considering them down the road.
I have used them before. It depends on what you are doing with them. If you are using them mainly as a road tire then they are great but as a deadicated track tyre I would go for something a bit stickier, like Toyo R888s.
These are my new wheels :) 15x7 et20. They will be a great little street wheel. I'm not sure weather they are genuine or not. Anybody know? They have a BBS stamp on the front?
I have new tires ready to go and I will give them a nice clean up. Probably won't hold onto them for very long so if anyone is interested let me know :)
haha yeah thats a pretty stiff setup i normally run a few clicks under on the front and really soft on the street. and oversteer isnt really an issue for me as i dont have nearly the grip of your tires. :(
I am in awe man. awesome work the engine bay is money, total sleeper with the hood closed. I cannot imagine how nice that powerband feels with a proper weight/balance. and its also nice to see someone using megans on the track i installed mine a few weeks ago and love them so far. What dampening, camber have you had the best luck with? in the pictures it looks like your on either full negative or dang near it. the people questioning the weld on coil durability need to check this out!
Edit: your coils are not megan but rather bc which i believe is actually the same. im not certain though. they just look exactly identical. anywho, ive got the megan 8kg square
Thanks for the positive feedback! It pulls really nicely from 3000rpm onwards :)
Yer mine are bc racing. 8kg fronts, 10kg rear, 4.5 neg camber on the front. I have never had an issue with them. They arnt the best by far but for the money you can't go wrong.
If you actually think about the weld it only holds the coil down onto the hub. So the weld only deals with rebound force, not bump.
I generally run full hard front and rear to stop rear wheel scrub and oversteer :)
