Damn!! I've read the full thread straight on! congrats for the rocket, really nice build.
I'll be super glad if you could answer just little questions about your build
Are you running stock steering ??
the calipers are from a FC rx7 right? what else is needed for fitting?
what brake specs where you running before rx7 calipers swap??
thanks in advance! keep on rocking it!

I am running an E36 steering rack. About 3.2 turns lock to lock. Not as quick as the M3 but not far behind. I am working on another rack that is 2 turns lock to lock.
Yes these are FC calipers. You will need caliper brackets to mount the calipers. You also need to machine the rotors if you use the VW discs. I am doing a full write-up on this next.
The current set-up is standard calipers with brass bushes, DBA wiper slot rotors, braided lines and hawk pads.
Hope this helps!

Small update.
MY PISTONS HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!! WOOOO
Unfortunately the place that does the rings is closed over xmas/new years. Oh well! I have some new wheels arriving in the next week or so as well. I can't to get this thing screwed back together! I also need to buy some suspension as I sold my old coilovers. Just looking at a set of ground controls with Koni shocks.
I made another purchase as well. Some wide flares. I actually had these flares a year ago and sold them to a mate who didn't end up using them so I bought them back. I bought a set of front guards from E30guydownunder so they will be cut up and played with!
Also bought another BMW, an E34 535is! Here is the build for that tank.
This car will be so much different to drive. Here is a quick list of the charges I will have made since I drove it last.
Engine running 13:1 pistons (instead of 11:1) and race fuel.
New ground control coilovers and M3 swaybar links
4 Piston front brakes (RX7 calipers)
Here are some pretty pics.
Go wide!
Shiny new pistons
Collect the whole set
13:1 vs 11:1
535is
