Update time! hardly any pics :(

Lots has been going since my last update. Lots of good things and a few bad things have happened along the way. As well speak the car is a Motec queensland where is was surpose to be getting tuned until a nasty fuel leak occured!!

Rewind back to mt last post.

Dad and I started to tackle the wiring side of things. We got stuck in and pretty much finished wiring up the Motec M84. It was fairly straight forward and only a few things were left to the guys at Motec. We also finished wiring up the lights and M3 dash. We tested all the lights, wipers, etc. Everything went very well with nothing being fried or burning up :)

While all this was going on I had my front bar painted to match the rest of the car. Big shout out to Ben (Reap3r) who did a great job with the paint :)

When all the wiring was sorted we tackled all the small jobs we forgot about. We mounted the harness, front sway bar, checked over ALL the suspension bolts and nuts etc.

Then it was time to book it in at Motec and decide when I want to race this thing. After to speaking to a few people it was decided that Fraser Coast Sprints was the event to enter. I renewed my CAMS licence and sent off my entry form. So now, no matter what, I will be racing on the 28th/29th of this month!

So off to Motec the car went and they quickly finished up the wiring and checked over all our wiring, which was all good. This is when the problems started :(. First up the my custom made plug leads showed up 3 days late. They look super sexy so maybe they were worth the wait ;) Then the dyno wasn't playing the game. They got that sorted out then got ready to fire up my beast. At which point we noticed a strong fuel smell.

The fuel rail was pissing out fuel from both ends where the -6 fittings were welded on. After a lot of diagnosis it turns out that the fuel rail was over heated in the welding process causing cracks in the welds. So I have decided to get the guys a dodgy up the old welds as I will be purchasing a VAC motorsport rail. That way they can get the car run-in and tuned and I will swap the rail when it comes in.

So hopefully by the end of next week I will have a few videos and dyno runs to show you guys. I am also trying to squeeze in getting a half cage welded in before the end of the month.

Here are a few random pics.

      Lights work!!

      Painted front bar

      Ready for the dyno!

Yeah its most likely going to be the route I am going to head down. Where did you get your rotors from and what pads did you go with? I'm thinking about ordering some Hawk HP+ in the coming weeks but need to find somewhere for rotors worthwhile that isn't the same price as buying a BBK in the end.

I have dba rotors all round. This is my set up
                  New calipers all round.
                  Brass caliper slides.
Hawk track pads up front, street pads on the rear.
DBA rotors all round, slotted on the front, standard on the rear.
                  Braided lines all around.
On the red car I have braided lines and pads. I only had them in for the last meeting I did at lakeside. With the R888s on I struggled to lock wheels up :)

Today didn't go to plan at all!!!!! I will do more of an explanation later on but basically when the car is under heavy load it over heats! So Dad and I bought it home for a rethink and ordered a new PWR radiator. Here are a few quick phone pics of the engine bay. Also I did a skid in the garage does to prove that it could ;)
