Is that really going to be stretched? I found a pic of that size on a 10 and it looked pretty square...

I had 245/45/16 on my 16x9 Fuchs and it was pretty square. (Rear Wheel)

A 235 tire should be run on at the most a 8.5 inch wide wheel. I would run it on an 8 inch wide wheel.

The tires I'm running apparently run super wide, so it would supposedly be a little wider than a 245? They're R888's.

10 inch wide wheels are for 275 width tires and up. Of course you can run less wide tires but it won't be ideal. See tire rack and look up the 235 tires you want and see what width wheel is recommended...

Since you're going all out to be different, try and run 255's on your E30. Seriously. Cut the inside lip of your quarter panels, and get a roller and pull those motherfuckers out an inch.

The R888's had the biggest size in 15's that weren't a full out track tire. We'll see. I may just go 9's.

                      From toyo's website:
                      Approved rim width: 6.5-7.5-8.5
So 8.5 at the most, 7.5 being the proper fitment.
That's for the 235 width R888 tires that you said you want.

My point is, what Toyo says is the norm for most tires, but If the 205's run as wide as 235's in Starspec sizing(pretty normal sizing) the 235's should run closer to 255/265. No?

Think about it this way Stuart.... I have 215s on my 9s. You're going to be running a 20mm wider tire. There are 25.4mm in an inch. So with that extra inch of wheel you'll be slightly more stretched then mine. It also depends on what sidewall you run. Your stretch/contact patch will be the same, but depending on the size sidewall, it can make it appear more or less stretched. So if you can find some 255s, that'd be closer to ideal.

And this is a 235 on a 7 1/2 wide rim. 9's have to fit pretty well, no?
