So I believe I'm having heat soak issues with my IAT sensor. I can drive all day and the car will run perfect but when I shut it off for around 15minutes and come back to it and go to start the car it gets a very lean unstable idle, runs pooey and feels very"flat". If I do one WOT pull the car goes back to normal. my meth spray probably cools the sensor off very quickly since it is with in a few inches of it. What can I do about this? my piping gets very hot after driving the car and then parking it for about 15-20 minutes.
It seems to be 100% heat related so I'm not sure whats up.

well no matter what my valve cover was leaking after a drive, I've been messing around with it for a week and even replaced the gasket twice because I wasn't sure why it was leaking. Well today I took it off one more time to figure out why it was leaking once and for all and put a small amount of mega grey on the end of the gasket so it stops dripping on my manifold and smoking everywhere.
I Discovered that this issue was my valve cover vent hose was completely kinked in half. Obviously the lack of ventilation was pushing oil out of weird spots and also causing my turbo to smoke due to lack of vacuum.
All fixed now...I hope.

The hallman pro RX is the BEST boost controller I've used and I love it, Its super easy to adjust and use and doesnt boost spikes ever. I used a turbosmart controller at first and it was garbage and would spike to 12psi when set fully open.
I'm also using a hallman in my subaru and its a great quality piece.

also, are you using an open element sensor?

oh cool i didn't know I could change settings to fix this; I'm using the GM open element sensor. Where exactly do I find where to change the setting?
So think I found the MAT correction map. so basically If I'm understanding right I would need to slightly increase the correction% for the hotter temps.Last edited by kamotors; 06-20-2012, 09:25 AM.
