Thanks! We have a few small items left for the John Allen Special theme. Should be Wednesday.
Keep in mind this is ALL new suspension. So the results were better than expected. Then added in some sport springs(Bav Auto). So with all new shocks, bushings, end links and all combined it is really nice to drive!

Pic links are broken, but the car looks really good for (new) stock suspension!Leave a comment:

AutoX was a success! Car made it through 8 runs total with 2 drivers. Both drivers had a positive review of the car. It handles better than we though. It feels great. This is going to be fun!

If we need to swap a bumper dealing with surrounds and parts in the way are no good. So just going to run without. Doesn't look as good as it could but I think overall it is stylin'!Leave a comment:

Lack of bumper surrounds to cut down on debris from on track contact?Leave a comment:

Big Day for the team. All hands were on deck as we gave the car a nice little tune up and some basic maintenance. New plugs were now installed since the no start was fixed. We didn't want to foul out more plugs but all fixed so basic copper plugs went in. We have 2 events in 2 weeks and will be putting a lot of miles onto the car with 2 Auto-X drivers this weekend(Tomorrow) and then next weekend 2 of our drivers will be getting almost 8 hours of time at Road Atlanta between of them!
First up Blake(Our resident race car mechanic - you may have seen him on Speed during the 24 Hours working on a Porsche Team(boooo!) went to town and we checked torque on everything. Nut and Bolted the front and rear. All checked out!

Next up was to drain, flush and fill the coolant. We are estimating the coolant is original from 1986... or at least it looked like it. The thermostat was stuck open and the car never got warm. All fixed! Then super fun bleeding of an M20... always a thrill. Got it on the first time. Tip - Get the front end way up in the air!

We had some old R-Comps but since we are looking at potential rain next weekend we are going to some street tires. Both drivers preferred this setup and one has never tracked an E30 and while he does have track experience this seemed to be the best choice. Then we got our super scientific string out...

Very important step... glue that gold 325e badge back on!

And we went out for a test drive. Everyone drove it. Got some shots. Some video. Looks great rolling down the road! Enjoy the video!
