I was really interested in this car when it was being sold by Vlad. I am happy that I did not purchase it, but at the same time, sad to see it be in that shape. I guess it really was a deceiving ad. Good luck with everything. There are some pretty f-ed up people out there. You just can't play at their level and must keep moving forward.

DANG! Sucks about the damages. I have been burnt before buying a car online sight unseen besides pictures online. Very much like your experience but with an FD I bought in TX. Pictures looked awesome but when the truck came to deliver my car, it didn't start. I changed the battery and it barely started up; flooded. I changed the plugs the next day and still floods. Later I go through all the wiring and the dumb fck messed up all the wiring. Sad story but very same as yours. Bad damage, etc.

So after that experience, I don't mind paying for a flight and hotel to go look at a car that I want for sure to buy. $500-$1000 for flight and hotel for a weekend to look at a car that might save me more due to enhanced pictures is better than lossing $1k+.

not to mention the price a well sorted fd goes for even in this shitty economy. honestly prob one of the closest comparison to an e30 m3 in turms of a following and and how they hold there value.

For about 2800 shipped you can get the AST 4100 coilever suspension for the Z3 which is what you will need for your hybrid setup. e36m Front and what ever he route he used for the rears it will work. I had it on my e30 with an s52 and LOVED it.
I'll take a look at the AST suspension. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have an FD as well. So, I completely understand. I think these two cars (e30 M3 and FD RX-7) are the pinnacle of late 80's early 90's cars. Perfectly balanced. Aged extremely well. And, take well to modification. Classic cars you can drive hard and be fast.

I bought a rep because I wanted an e30 M3 that I can heavily modify and daily drive without the guilt of running down an increasingly rare classic car.
That totally makes sense. I never understood why someone would want a fake M3, but I completely understand it for that reason.

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you went through, and are still going through to get this car the way you want, but I trust there is light at the end of the tunnel. And as long as you can enjoy the car, that's all that matters.

Let me know how the wheels and tires treat you. Like you said when you picked them up, anything is better than bent rims. I just hope what I sold you is better than "anything".

Hope to see you around the Sound...

IIRC, this one had the Eta motor that Vlad swore was an I motor......

He advertised it as an 87 325iS but it's really a 325e. I noticed that when it was on ebay but didn't make much fuss over it since it was advertised as a "swap-ready" car. lol Fuckin' Vlad. I was hoping the new owner would know the difference. Anyway, enough about Vlad. How about more pics of the car? did they do a good job on the C pillar?
