Non running 92 318 Cabrio. Picked up for $1200 which is more than I wanted to spend but, I like it. Top is in perfect condition minus the missing rear zip-in window.
My plans so far are to drop in the M42 sitting in the garage and get this thing on some sort of suspension. That's it.
**EDIT**
Well I found a complete running e34 540i/6 sitting in oklahoma dying to be picked apart. So I bought it. This thing ended up being $1500 shipped. a 1995 Shwartz 540i 6-speed with beige sport leather interior. For $1500 shipped?
The car has 189k and hail damage. The engine runs great however the intake boot has a huge hole. The coil-on-plug boots need replacing and it needs an oil change. Other than that the engine is completely leak free.
The suspension however is shit. all bushings needs to be replaced up front and so do the struts. That combined with the bad hail and sun damage justify me ripping it apart. I still feel kind of bad about htis cars fate. The A/C in this thing is AMAZING!
I promise better pictures soon. I'm still working on the swap expense sheet and comparing data with a lot of the other swap guys. I'll upload an excel expense sheet once the swap is completed. This should help a few guys with laying things out before diving into a project.
