Put the rest of the red interior in. I kinda like it. Just gotta find some nice cardinal sport seats.

Besides from the interior, I fixed the passenger side suspension. Put in a bilstein off Stuart's old set-up. Still need to find a new stud for the driver's side bilstein as it is broken. Also fixed the crazy exhaust rattle by welding it up. Still needs another hanger.

....Then, I took it offroading. I should of got some video or pictures, but I had to test it out. Did a burnout on a back road then decided to take it to a dirt road/field and do a couple dirt launches. I tell you, driving fast with this slow car on dirt is so much fun. Can't wait to see how it does at the next event.

And to Josh.... I think the m42 will give us an advantage, so be prepared and practice. ;)

^^ yeah, I know it will. The one thing you will have to remember, though, is that you'll have to be more careful in the rutted corners on the softer tires so you won't debead. I got the rally tires so I could try to carry as much speed as possible in corners since I have no power to get out of the corner, lol.

I very seriously considered buying that guys wrecked 318is in the local forum to get his M42. But I'm just gonna have to make do with the M10 for the moment and do a season with it, and do a swap next winter once I have more funds for this car.

but I need to finish up this re-fi of my house and that's gonna cost a bit....and another kid on the way so that's gonna put a dent in the budget again...

Also, what Bilstein piece do you need exactly? I have a pair of beat-up OEM sport bilsteins, but depending on what part you need maybe I have it.

turbo wouldn't be of much use for rallycross I don't think. Just look at how the 2.5GC Imprezas for the most part beat the WRXs. I'd rather have linear power......

hmm....I wouldn't think it would be replaceable unless you did a total rebuild. You're welcome to come get the two shocks I have though. One is seized, and the other has the piston shaft scored some but seems to still have decent travel/rebound. You could take one apart and see if you can get that piece out to use. Alternately, you could use the one with the scored shaft until it eventually blows the seal.

I assume it's a front, by the width of the shaft in the pic?

I attempted to fix the exhaust today. I will be doing more in terms of the muffler and the hangers. (I am missing one of the muffler hangers) But for now, I just made it so it didn't rattle like crazy. Also changed the oil. Then took it for a nice drive, went through some muddy puddles.

Also, bent muffler tip. This thing sounds so ricey, need to do something about that.
