Love all the old photos of my mtech (pre mtech). Good times, damn we have had these cars for a long timeLeave a comment:

they are similar, but not quite the same. the bearings differ by .05mm but I know lots of people who use the rears in the front of an ix, they're also half the price!Leave a comment:

Yeah, I couldn't believe you got them for that. After seeing the damaged threads in the other ones, I looked around and they were far more at most places. They appear to be the same as RWD rear hubs, but didn't measure anything to see.Leave a comment:

At least the labor wasn't killer ;)
Still a lot of dough in parts. I never realized how expensive ix parts are until we restored the rear of one. Guibos are crazy expensive, sub-frame bushings etc - anything ix specific. My jaw dropped when looking at the prices for new hubs.Leave a comment:

Yes, it certainly would be worth it to get it set up by a "pro", because IIRC a 3.38 is most commonly from an E36, so to set it up in an E30 case will require shimming, measurement, adjustment, and verification of gear contact pattern.
It'll be a great ratio!Leave a comment:

it's kind of scary how much money I have into them, but damnit, I'm so sick of bottoming out and bouncing around!
Maybe now I can take my wife in the car without grimacing over every little bump :pLeave a comment:

finally struts are pretty much done :)

They're still at WOT tech in Florida. When get my grubby romneys on them, I'll update the 2012 post. Once they're on the car, I'll have to decide if I want to further drop my front spring rates (I'm thinking 400-450#), which also depends if I can make the E46 swaybar work. Hopefully I can significantly increase my comfort level!Leave a comment:

Lol, that little knick has been there for years, it's barely even qualified as "surface rust".
It's a driver, not a show car :)Leave a comment:
