if i could get a rotisserie then it would be in sandblasting now... but trying to get one is horrible. and last weekend got eaten up by installing the luke box in my vert.

how does a sand blaster work Christian?
I wanna start getting the paint offa my peugeot spoiler, last time i used a power sander, it damaged it haha.

Yesterday we took all the glass outa her car. It took a long time but this car will be so worth the work, or at least I keep telling myself that, bc it's a pain in the ass.
All glass out, trunk off and a few other things.


It's so light I can lift the car.

Today started with me cleaning up the transmission and S4.10 diff and sold them off for a steal. But im also getting the hookup from Vivek on a new motor, trans, D-S and S3.73 dif.
I removed the steering wheel and column.

Then removed the engine bay rubber crap and brake booster.


Then I moved to the gas take and pulled that out, along with all the wires and hoses.



The only thing left of the rear is metal.

Now I'm tackling the wire removal.

Tomorrow we are tackling this crap and then ready for sandblasting.

Fun update. dslr is still in shop so please excuse my poor picture quality.
Yesterday we went over to Vivek's at 8:45am and my 2pm we had completed so much, even without being in a shop.
I pulled the rear subframe with the differential because it's a lot easier to remove it all as one piece and then pull it off the frame on the ground. But before removing it I broke loose the guibo bolts. Make that mistake before and never want to repeat it.
Driveshaft looks good. But I will have to remove that stupid weight first.
The transmission and differential are nearly perfect. The head will go on my car and the block on hers.

Good team work going on. As I tackled the underside my dad focused on the power top parts and trunk lining. And LBV and his dad loaned a hand everything either of us needed anything. jLBV hunt out and watched.

All the parts my dad needed.

LBV donated tonneau cover wires to my car. So, now my lid will close. Thx vivek.

All packed up and the truck headed home all before 3pm.

99 percent done with the teardown. =P
Airbox pulled. That was a real pita to remove.



Pulled the carpet, peddles and D unhooked the harness inside the whole car.




Then I slowly feed the entire harness out that hole. FML.
Took a long time piece by piece and having to be so careful not to break, tear or damage anything.



Got the harness full uncut out of the car.


Then I pulled the sunroof and the headliner



Next I'll pull the rest of the fuel lines and brake lines under the car. and then it's off to get sandblasting.

it's really not that bad. just disconnecting all the wires from the chassis. now that was a PITA.

Tomorrow I'll pull the last of the fuel lines and brake lines and she's ready for sanding.
