Originally posted by Big Chief View PostActually, I have been super busy on this car. Found a complete new front clip, same color, locally and all of it is being replaced. I have already pulled out the entire interior and cleaned the carpet. I found some useable front sport seats until I decide what to do for seats. He had sold the seats already. The radiator was damaged so I installed a new radiator out of a 535i. There is really minimal damage. It appears to have a new steering rack and the shop said the entire suspension is straight. I ordered new springs, as these were cut. I found a few small rust spots on the floor and the battery tray so I grinded them down and painted with rust bullet. Oh and I did ditch the license frame.Originally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Nice score bro!!!! I really hate seeing e30's stripped out with minor damage. Glad to see you put this one back on the road.;)Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Sticksdaman, to replace the front clip was cheap. I lucked out at our local pick and pulls. We have 4 good ones in Richmond and they all had e30s. If you pull a bunch of stuff they give you a discount. I pulled litterally half the car at one of our pick and pulls. Entire front clip, door, almost entire interior, seats, shocks, guage cluster, spare tire, window switches, etc. They brought a pick up truck out into the yard for me to get it all because it would have taken me 30 trips with a wheel barrell. they only charged me $370....I was thrilled. The thing is, it's just luck if they have one and I got lucky because they had just set this one in the yard. Usually they are picked clean by the time I find them. This car had everything I neededsigpic

Awesome deal! When you said front clip i thought you meant that you literally cut the front end off of the car and replaced it. I wish there were yards like that in my area.Originally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). nah, by front clip I just meant both fenders hood, valance bumper, etc. The Car is all straight under the sheet metal. Actually the left fender and door weren't damaged in the accident. I replaced the other parts just because they were so clean on the junk yard car and mine had typical dings on them.sigpic

The only thing I was sketched about when I looked at it was the wiring near the driver side bulkhead. There was a connector there that use a crimped on spade terminal or something of that sort.2008 335i - n54b30

wiring is not tucked up neatly. It's kind of all over the place but pretty much everything worked as it should. Front blinkers were wired wrong and I fixed those but despite the messy appearance it seems to have been wired correctly. I have just been going through replacing swithes and bulbs. Right now pretty much everything works but i'm getting a rebuilt cluster as the tach doesn't read correctly.sigpic
