WTF are you doing man, autox a 5er? Just like James said, it is an auto e34. This is not a race car it is not an e30. My advice get it nice looking and sell it. Everything you want to do is in an e30. Or grow up and understand this can be one clean e34 for cruising the highway and blasting corners.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

Car looks clean, goodluck.

This is coming from a guy who tracks his M5 Wagon mind you. Big track where it can stretch out a little, sure... AutoX, hell no

for the transmission slipping in first
especially if its happening wheen warm
Definitely try a passive flush and put in all new dexron vi. 4.27 a quart at wallmart.
( or change it about 3 timees in a short period of time)
I have had it perform 2 miracles this year, both with toyotas autos granted.Last edited by stamar; 08-26-2012, 06:03 AM.

I swear by dexron vi. Its got all the stuff thats in a trans tune type of prduct in it already.
I like to personally do a drain and fill 3 times in 100 miles because its so detergent it will make itself dirty again instantly.
give it one extra drain at least then change it all through the coolant line. stops slipping frees lifters etc etc whatever any product likes to claim it can do this stuff does for real 10x better.
it is a full synthetic and should be good for 100k miles also.
I had it make perfect 2 toyota truck autos this yeear. one that when warm would shift early, slip shift late basically just wasnt working right.Last edited by stamar; 08-26-2012, 06:06 AM.

I might just drain it and replace filter and refill with the good stuff
Im positive I said to change it a few times. I dont do a full flush with a really dirty trans because it can bring up too much dirt to suspend. I bet with dexron 6 this is even worse.
either change it a few times, and then do a full passive flush
or change it a few times and call it good.
If it is so dirty that it is messed up changing 1/3 the fluid in a filter change is just a first step. You should notice slight improvement.
do it 2 more times.
If the zf trans doesnt have a drain plug, you shoul get one of those cheap rred vacuum pumps and put the black tube intoo the red tube annd syphon a couple quarts out through the tranny dipstick.
do it once ( 1/3 clean 2/3 dirty) twice ( 1/3 clean taken from 2/3 dirty system apx half clean) three times ( 1/3 clean in 1/2 clean system apx 2/3 clean)
2/3 to 75% clean is now clean enough.
1/3 clean on a filthy system is not clean enough, its just step one.
what they call a filter in this type of transmission is just a grate that is stopping larger metal flakes from going back up after they come down.
Its cool to get rid of all the sludge on the pan and the filter at the same time, dont get me wrong. However, imo this grating never wears out and if you emptied out enough sludge and put enough new fluid it, it would be clean as new.
2 car generations ahead they stopped using these types of filters and just put in a reusable grate.Last edited by stamar; 08-26-2012, 07:31 PM.

Fucking Christ now there's the E34 'bcuz 24v' kid vs. the Travel camper Derp showdown.
If you want to auto-x that car just shut up and do it. Anyone who talks about how much they want to do an autoX/track day is the person who never will.
If you're hell bent on spending money on your car for things like coilovers and shit then just start replacing wear parts first. Chances are by the time you're done with that stuff you'll have identically made yourself a nice car and will have realized that you don't want or need that other shit.
Lastly, if you're not going to listen to all the reasonable advice you've been given, just shut up, fuck your car up and post pics of what you come up with. Stop telling us what you think you're going to do and just do something. For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
