Ok. Finally getting back on track. I'm pulling it into the garage tomorrow and beginning tear down. First on the list is to ditch the broken bodywork aka front bumper and passenger fender. New parts to be ordered soon. Next will be removing the head for a refresh. I also plan on pulling apart a good portion of the engine bay so it can be redone when I send it off to paint.
I need to source parts to get the power steering working again. I will probably need a new rack too since the one that is on there has not had the power steering hooked up for years and the holes were not properly plugged.
Still thinking about reinstalling the A/C system as we'll but will need all new parts for it.
After all that's done I will get started on the interior. I have most of the parts for that but still need some stuff.
I think that's all for now. If all goes well I will have it back on the road by summer.....
Stay tuned for actual updates..... :)

Whoa...why are you pulling the head? Must have missed something. Ahhh a refresh...I see."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Assistance Requested
So I'm almost ready to pull the motor but the headers are in the way and I cant get them out. See below for a couple pictures, let me know if more would help evaluate my situation.
Since this is my first engine pull and have no idea what I'm doing I figure I missed something along the way. I am open to suggestions for sure.
I also cant get to the passenger side mounting bolt to just be able to pull it all out together as you can see in one of the pictures.
I think my only option is to remove the header studs to get the headers off but I cannot figure out the best way to do that either. Clearance is severely limited as the headers are hitting against some of the suspension parts down below. Again, suggestions would be helpful.
TIA!!!
