Getting near a 1 year mark now. There seems to be that point in a project when everything just stops for a while. Happened to me a few times too. OP looking forward to updates soon!Comment

No...It's not the same. It's a long term project."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Time to resurrect this old thread and ask some opinions.
Life kind of went a different direction for me when I was in the middle of this project. I'm at a bit of a crossroads and cant decide what to do.
Last year I bought and moved into a new house. Since then the car has been sitting under a cover in the back yard. Before we moved I had started to take apart the engine to do a full rebuild so now I just have a crapload of parts sitting around collecting dust with the car. When I say started to take apart I mean I removed the head but still have the block in the car. Not smart I know but here we are.
My plan is to build a garage in the back so I have room to work on and finish this car and future projects but that probably wont be done until early next year.
I hate that the car just sits there but I am also afraid if I sell it I will regret it.
Is it worth much in it's current condition? If the engine was put back together it's driveable but the interior is pretty much gutted. I have a lot of interior parts I have been buying but I'm still missing stuff.
It's the same old sad restoration story. I just dont know where to go from here.
Opinions are welcome.Comment
