What's the offset on the style 5's you're now running? Curious to see how they will look and I love the lip on them. I have a spare set in my garage I've been too lazy to mount tires on so maybe this will be my motivation!
offset is +23 before adapters.
offset is 5mm in the front, 3mm in the rear after adapters.
I have all my Coilover bits gathered. My setup is as follows:
- GC kit, 440f/650r
- IX Bilstein HD's for the front, I will be cutting the internal bumpstops in half
- 82-02 Camaro KYB Gas-A-Just for the rear
- Housings will be shortened 1.5"
Good suspension choice. Make sure you keep a spare oil pan in trunk!
Wow looks like its coming together great. That rack looks sooo nice. Great work so far!
Thank you!
I'll have some big updates for it here pretty soon, it's currently on jackstands with completely disassembled suspension for all new bushings, control arms and coilovers. Putting in my 3rd full 10 hour day of work tomorrow. Filming everything makes work take twice as long haha.
Thanks! The video is going to be pretty long I realized, so those with a short attention span will probably lose interest before it's over. I'm really happy with how some of the shots are turning out though, and I'll edit it to where it's pretty fast paced and doesn't get boring haha.

Keep going on the video! Seems you have the proper software for it! Cant w8 to see it!
How did you get 5 lug wheels on ur E30? Adapter plate or Z3 swap?

I used adapters, 5-lug swap was too extensive for my needs. If you scroll through this thread you'll find a picture of them with full details.
Thanks, Think I saw the pic to when you did it. Seems easy but not the best way to do it, yea i'm that kind of guy that does it the most expensive way :x

Well yeah, realistically a proper 5-lug swap would be the way to go, but it comes down to priorities and what's really necessary. Adapters are safe, and have proven time and time again to be reliable. For someone who wants to run 5x120 wheels on their daily driver, I would say adapter's are perfect for that scenario. If you want to go the expensive route and do a full swap, by all means do it if it makes you feel better about it.
So I've been putting in a ton of work on the suspension over the last 4-5 days, and it's almost complete. I don't even want to hear the phrase "rear subframe" ever again in my life...haha.
Here a few video snapshots that will be in the video build, I'm only posting a few pics of the strut shortening process, there's WAY more that I'm not showing until the video is done.
