Exact with this cooler the turbo would not feed into the SC but run on its own using one side of the cooler...

God speed with the diy kit. I did my MS3x last year and it was a handful.

thanks my friend... I have Keith "Whodwho" and am hoping the boys at DIYAuto will also give me a hand... I never built anything electronic from scratch before...I should be able to solder properly...its more building it properly and the instructions available Im not understanding... :( It has to be newb'd down more I think... with maybe a screen by screen specifically for the OEM M20 hardware and go indept with the options available...

There is, 2 of them. Blower is charging up to 0,8 bar and the turbo up to 1,8.
Most of the vid is them talking about the owner fabricating stuff, wheel sentre nuts, gear lever and boost :)

Found his build page and used google translate from swedish to english:

                  Facts about motor control:
The engine is supercharged by both an Eaton M62 supercharger and a Garret GT40 turbo truck.
This system I built for an engine that has the character of a large engine with the right size turbo, ie. boost pressure should not come as a horse farm at 5000 rpm.
The compressor and turbocharger are connected in parallel, where the compressor is driven and turbo charging as much as it can, up to a maximum boost pressure.
The compressor load 0.8 bar all the way from idle, so there is always at least 0.8 bar boost pressure available.
The turbo starts to charge at 3000rpm and full boost, I already at about 4500 rpm, although the turbo is pretty big.
When the total charge pressure begins to approach approximately 1.0 bar, so starting the compressor is disconnected by means of a relief valve. At about 1.3 bar, the compressor is fully vented and only turns with no resistance from the boost. After compressor is a great way valve (plated square box) that allows no air from the turbo goes out through the relief damper.
There is also a check valve for the turbo that makes no compressor air can go through the back door through the turbo.
Once the turbo has "taken over" the engine runs like any other turbo engine any time and thanks to the turbo is pretty big avgasdel will exhaust backpressure quite small. This means it does not need as much boost to get much power.

Butterfly house spool type and injection from Autronic makes the engine is very driveable and runs fine at idle, although quite sharp camshafts.
Butterfly house consists of a plate with four 46mm holes that are at the gate. This plate is at full throttle with the holes in the middle for intake and at idle, the holes on the side aspirated so that the airflow is restricted.
Damper plate rolls on ball bearings for not sucked against the intake at high boost.
                  ----------------------------------------------------------

So hes disconnecting the Supercharger at certain boost level (that would save me about 35HP if I shut the charger down at 4000rpm approx) the big turbo is spooled and takes over... exactly what i want to do.

Pretty slick setup. When the blower is disconnected, is it only done by venting the inlet and outlet to atmospheric or is the drive pulley also disengaged? I feel like there would still be some parasitic loss with the pulley turning.

As soon as the bypass valve opens on some of the eaton models (BV) the blower sees very minimal air enter it and it uses only 1HP to turn with the engine when not compressing air. Lucky for me I choose the right blower to be able to do something like this... :)

After much time spent building the MS box.... I ran into an issue where it would not connect to the PC com port...with a LOT of help from Keith "whodwho" on R3vlimited.com this guy knows his stuff. I finally found the problem ..corrected the backword diode and voila !! ready to go!

Next is install the IAT into the intake, install new vaccum line to MAP sensor and start tuning!!

the tunerstudio software is AMAZING!! wow finally I can tune my car fully!!
