The Finnish build can be found here (325i cabriolet, now 2.7L+M90+HX55):
Only Finnish sorry :)
Some pics before adding the turbo can be found from www.1k.fi gallery.
I have Gates polycarbon cog belt setup (36mm) for the eaton drive.
I think I have a little different setup on boost piping. Have to go thru your thread.
I will try to post a pic of the engine room when I have more time.
quick specs of my engine:
Wiseco forged pistons
Diesel forged crank (2.7)
"eagle" rods
Dbilas cam
Shimmed double springs
Adjustable cam pulley
LS2 truck coils x6
Haltech E8
630cc injectors
Race bearings
Athena cooper ring head gasket (separate stainless fire ring)
12.9 head bolts/ARP rod bolts
double walbro 255lph pumps
...
I will answer more quostions on my own btcf thread(free forum, but needs registration) so we don't get carried away here away from the original subject that is about your build.
Edit: one pic from 2011 when making expansion tank, radiator and ABS-mounts etc. (A lot has been done since, must take some pics). Since then engine room has been painted and engine is back in. Final touches anymore to be done.(Painting valve cover, couple boost pipes etc.)

All the cool people have flares. (See sig pic).

What kind of by pass valve arrangement do you have for the SC? Maybe something to do with the rapid response?
Is signal for the SC by pass coming from the intake?
On my car SC is at 0 pressure difference when not used anymore and the power it draws is minimized. It's basically a turbo engine at high rpm range and SC engine at lower rpm range.
On your system if the pressure difference between SC inlet+outlet is bigger it basically draws about 30-40hp at 10 psi from crank.
PS: Boost should be around 25 psi on my setup. Basically I run out of injectors, clutch and driveline.. I think it's still enough for a e30 cabriolet :D. 500Rwhp (700Nm) is ok and anything more is a +
18psi on stock bottom end is pretty good :), I had about 13-15psi on one of the first SC setups and after about 10k miles the cast pistons 2:nd ring lands were against oil rings. No bad cracks tho so would expect something similar miles before changing the pistons.
Next setup was with M52 pistons and it hold on ok with 17-18psi. After that the eaton was on it's limits and needed something more to the top rpm range. Then started the turbo/SC installation. M52 pistons are killer on price wise, hypereutectic. If knocking then they will blow ring lands easyer than cast pistons.
Also M50 135mm rods are a must with over 300rwhp. M20 stock rods will very likely bend.
We have other build for 1000hp+ levels. LS vortec engined e34 with 3.6L kenne bell SC unit and 8 laminova water cooler cores.
Can't wait dyno and vids of your car!
On my twincharged setup I use 2 valves one BOV before the throttle body to releive the boost on the turbo when I close the throttle signal comes from supercharger inlet. The other valve which is a BLV will monitor and make sure it boost only the amount I want in this case 17 PSI regardless of elevation, etc..
I believe the stock M20 rods can take at least 400HP we have a member here "kamotors" running over 440HP on his turbo stock rod M20 engine.
