Got some more stuff done this weekend. We are planning on having it running in the next few weeks so we can sort out all of the bugs before we bring it down to Yimisport to do the tuning.
I powdercoated the upper expansion tank wrinkle black. It's our new favorite color...

Also did made the intake today. The filter sits behind the passenger seat. We will be making an air box for it so it gets constant cool air. PS: shout out to the guy working at O'reillys for the filter.

Welded on the MAF flange and ground it down and sandblasted the whole piping to get it ready for powdercoating.

Slight mishap happened...scratched the hotside of the intercooler piping pretty bad (was PC'd wrinkle red) but we ended up going with a wrinkle black this time around. Hopefully it looks a bit better...

Subscribed! Nice work Jay! You're progressing very fast! Very impressive! Love the aluminum console chassis & leather covering. I may have to redo the console face on mine to accommodate different gauges.Leave a comment:

Got a bit done this weekend.
Hot side is powdercoated wrinkle red and the cold side is short aluminum tubes inside the couplers for clamping purposes.

Honestly if we could have we would have. Space is so limited back there. On the other side of the muffler is all of the shift linkage brackets/cables so dual exhaust just wasn't going to work....
They are Tillets. We bought them from Danny (the guy who welded the frame). I don't have much info on them besides that. They're full CF w/ suede padding. The seat brackets weigh more than the seat itself :p
Lol, good eye. See below
Correct. The angle of the picture makes it look like really thick tubing.
Thanks ;)Leave a comment:
