Congratulations! Well done. I'm jealous that you got her going so quickly.
Mine is just running but not yet rolling. Coolant leaks, brake pressure issues, and now snow......

The bulbs aren't actually amber. They are the red socks that come with the VDO's...But it's close enough and I like how amber sounds better :)

PS, first drive was today. My dad got the first drive of course and you can see me in the second and third clips. Sooo exciting. We have a coolant leak (overflow isn't hooked up correctly) that we need to fix. You can see the trail of coolant on the ground following the car. The car still isn't tuned so we can't get on the throttle too much, but wow...it sounds and drives great. Here's a video

Where did you get the amber bulbs? I (and many others of course) have these vision gauges, and I got a red "bulb condom" as it's referred to - a small rubber type sleeve that goes over the clear bulb. Output is really more red than amber of course.

Ridiculously awesome work btw - I'm super jealous! Can't wait to see it in action.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. My dad and I appreciate them a lot! We still can't believe it actually runs. We are going to talk to our tuner and see if they'll send us a base tune so we can "break in" the engine and sort out all of the leaks/bugs before we bring it down to them for the final tune.

Here's the fuel pump. It is a drop in STI unit with a Walbro 255.

We have been working on the electrical side of things lately. It's a big headache but we're sorting through it all. I wired up all of the gauges today. I still have to find a spot for all of the senders however...oil pressure is the only sensor hooked up 100% right now. Used the amber bulbs. E30's have me hooked on that color :p
