I guess its enough to call it a "build" now. Blood sweat and tears inside...

I agree, and now that the motor doesnt have 200k on it, i wont feel bad about boosting it! Thinking about running 8-10lbs. Megasquirt is next after the coilovers get put on, so it will be ready when i can get a turbo kit together. I've read that the turbos from an sr20 work pretty well for m10s. Its actually difficult to find someone who has a conservative amount of boost, most are in the 15# and up category, so the turbos are bigger than what i want to run. All in due time. Overall, im very pleased with how everything is going.

Here's how it went. I took more pics but you guys have seen all this crap before so just the gist it is.

                    Cut

                    Grind

                    Welded

                    Ready

                    Got started in the AM

Princess on staff to help daddy

                    Both sides look like this

Didn't take a photo of the rear, was anxious to see the result so i skipped photos.

Here she sits, gonna let it settle, then take the adjuster collars completely out of the rear to get moar low, then will drop the front more. Wheels poke good, might need more stretch tho. Still looks like a 4x4 to me but i must be patient and give it a day to relax. 15mm spacer front, 20mm rear. Extended studs. Didnt get my lollipops on yet.

I had the intention of having my alpine '84 eta look very similar to yours but sold it before it ever happened. Great job so far, it looks real clean

M10 power baby! Cannot wait to see this thing on the ground! For whatever reason I like your build in particular.

Thanks, I'm not sure how much more i can get out of the rears, the coil perch is maxxed out, ill have to remove the collar nuts all together... I'm being extremely impatient, im hoping its going to settle a lot so ill drive it around and then decide to remove them or not. Front wheels have a ton of drop left. It also doesnt help that i dont have any rear valance, it still looks high from the back. But its not a bad look, just not the clean low look of the later models.

I know your pain. I'm on race springs and the rear arches are so damn high.

did you remove the original tube from the knuckle, or just grind it flat and butt the coil over up to the old tubing?

                                Very nice.
Any quality spring doesn't ever really "settle" to be honest. Once the car is on the ground and driven, it's done!
Just take the rear perch out now and play with spring pads.
