Keep your pants on. It'll get there. I need to finish the suspension and get the fuel cell mounted. Then the engine work will start.

Good to see some work getting done :)
That would be nice but messy. Cleaning up all the seam sealer from the wire wheels was bad enough. I'm doing this in the garage, blasting it would make a crazy mess. You will progressively see more and more updates as the summer roll around.

When I get a garage and a new project 2002 first things I am getting are a soda blaster, a larger compressor, and a shop vac.

You're reminding me that I really want to go through and reinforce the rear shock mounts and clean up the area around the seam welds...

Well I have a few more updates to share, the first picture was a present I received from the UPS man as I was disconnecting the half shafts from the Diff. last night!!

Full fuel rail kit to compliment my setup, pretty excited! Based on the USPS tracking the last part of this combo should be here today.....a ported LS1 throttle body!

After getting the half shafts off I tossed a bunch of parts in the car and headed to my good buddies shop to do work! First on the list was to finish my control arms. I have gone through 3 wrong...so called 96+ M control arms.....anyways got the old ball joints out, painted and put back together!

                          Getting a little paint.

I also took the strut tubes and sand blasted them as well!

Next was the rear hubs and bearings. I didn;t take to many pictures....because my hands were dirty and well, I just forgot.

We pulled the half shafts, hubs and bearings and then I gave the trailing arm assembly a hotsy and chemical bath!

If any of you ever wondered how much offset the 5-lug adds check this out.

So my buddy chuck works in an electric motor shop. been doing it for a long time and has worked with some old timers that have taught him some cool tricks.

What if I told you we installed rear bearing with no tools!! Yeah, he took the bearings and stuff them is this super cold freezer. then he carefully heated the bearing seat up to 200 degrees using a heat marker. grabbed his gloves and a bearing and bang!

It slid all the way in perfectly! So seeing that I said I wanted to try the next one......HAHAHAHA! FAIL!

My buddy Chuck got a good laugh. well we got it in and everything assembled and called it a night. This weekend I will finish the coil overs, reinforce the front sub frame, build some coil overs for a local guy and part out a Euro......BUSY BUSY!

Just a thought you may want to adjust the positioning of the the factory shifter hole somewhere around a 1/2 foward ( I can measure exactly how far foward it needs to shift) but it would look nice a factory if you did it now.

Yeah I will adjust it, I actually think I might have to move it back. I roughly held the tranny inside the tunnel, besides having to modify the tunnel to fit the tremec, it's the HD model with the billet shifter and it seems to be towards the backside of the shifter hole. This won't be the last time it's on the rotisserie so if I have to modify it I still can.

Also I forgot to mention, I am going back to the stock fuel tank. I picked one of from Levent at Guten. Why you may ask, well if I want to run any SCCA events I have to have an FIA rated fuel cell or tank. I don't know if any of you have looked at an FIA rated fuel cell, but I would have more in that then the rest of my car......

I also got in touch with Massive Lee and he has a booster delete kit with my name on it on it's way to the house!
