Well a few more parts came in so it gave me an excuse to go look at my ride. 2 more weeks and I should have a bunch of little nagging odds and ends cleared up which will allow MUCH more time on the car. Until then, she sits all nice an cozy in her clean new garage.

Im sure this has been brought up already, but what is that metal contraption attached to the rear bumper shocks?

Looks like a jig used to rotate a car on a rotisserie

Well I wanted to give an update on this thread, Things have changed with the projects quite a bit. The biggest thing is this.........it's no longer going to be a Ford powered car. Main reason is I wanted to do more then hoon around town, SCCA would have had me in a class I would not have been competitive in so it just didn't make sense. Based on my current situations in life I have put way to much money into the suspension just to have it be a street toy.

Second, I love cars, but more then that I love fabricating. I wanted to expand my abilities to do more metal work but that required more tools and space. I sold 90% of the stuff I had collected for the 302 and started putting together a nice list of steel fab tools.

                      I picked up a 40" slip roll

                      Edge crimper/roller

Pipe notcher......and those dies are for a bead-roller. The notcher is going to be modified slightly. Beef it up a bit, then welded to a plat I can mount to my stand to notch horizontally. I have notched more pipe then most can shake a fist at, after using them in a press and on a work table, I find that horizontally notching is much easier if you have the room.

Bead-roller, I'm having a plate made that I will weld around the outside of the roller to eliminate deflection on thicker materials.

Stand for bead-roller....all the toys together,

I'm also building a 8 ton air/hydraulic vertical pipe bender, it'll look something like this.

I got a lot of the machine work done on it already, getting the last 4 large holes done this week.
A little milling actions, these are the main arms for the bender

Finished up except for 2 large holes I'm having done at work

Pin holes in the main legs

4.5" radius die for 1.5" DOM tubing

                      Hardened steel shafts

Pretty exited about the bender, I used one daily for several years when I worked in our shop doing custom handrails, ready to start again.........CAGE ALL THE THINGS!

If you caught it, I said it was an air/hydraulic bender, so I needed an air supply, I went and picked this up on Saturday....

I also got a great deal on this blaster so I took it as well.

Two weeks ago I finally got the rest of my shop moved, it's still not setup, but at least I'm no longer in limbo between two locations!

Once I get the new garage put together I'll be finishing up the bender along with the final touches to the suspension on the car......Then it's cage time.

.........I'll be venturing to KC next sunday for my new powerplant and driveline......anyone have some s52 cams laying around? ;)

                      Until the next update

Just picked up a protools hmp 200 last week. Came with an airover ram (and the hydro pump ram) and an 1.25 tube and a 1.5 pipe die. Ill buy an 1.5 tube and after a cage or two ill pick up an 1.75 tube die so i can do nhra cages down the road too. Also brought my fab table from my dads house. Full steel with a .5" top. New tools are the best. Lol we have an opel manta that was sitting here rusting that weve decided needs a tube front end and a sbc.

I wouldn't say they're the new hype, just convenient. Now you don't have to take the shock off the car to adjust it, just pop the trunk.
