Black Friday was all about this car..
My wheel decision has been made, ordered some APEX since I couldn't pass up their Black Friday deal.

        Track setup:
        17x9.5 et35 ARC-8
        275/40-17 Toyo R888
        15mm Motorsport Hardware spacers

        Street setup:
        17x8 et20 BBS RC090
        245/40-17 Hankook RS3
        15mm Motorsport Hardware spacers

I also grabbed some 82mm bullet nose studs and Black Titan Cold Forged Race Nuts from Motorsport Hardware.

I'm interested in doing something similar but my car will be primarily a street car. I have a few questions you might be able to answer for me. 1) Why did you opt not to do the c pillar (rear window)? This would complete the full M3 look. The Czech company that makes the kit sells it, correct? 2) Why did you change the tail light panel? Is it required for the wide body flares? Aesthetics? Are they different between M and non M? 3) Why did you change the hood? Weight savings? Aesthetics? Is the hood different between M and non M? 4) how much did the kit cost in US dollars including shipping? 5) How long did it take to receive the kit? 6) What made you decide on the Czech kit versus a local company like DTM Fiberworks? Thanks in advance for your help! Great build thread! Subscribed!

Thanks for the reply man! Keep in mind this stuff is 'racecar quality'. If you're wanting something 'nice' for your street car I'd go OEM metal flares. Fiberglass will never look perfect IMO.
This kit is perfect for me though. It's super lightweight, easy to manipulate, and cheap.

                1) Why did you opt not to do the c pillar (rear window)? This would complete the full M3 look. The Czech company that makes the kit sells it, correct?
Because I wasn't going for the M3 clone look. Both my quarter panels are trashed. I needed room for more tire. If my quarters were clean then I would have got some KA flares. Also, I don't think it's worth the time, money, and effort to swap c pillars. Yes you get some aero benefit, but is it worth it? Plus, it's not an M3. I don't want it to look like a total poser M.

                2) Why did you change the tail light panel? Is it required for the wide body flares? Aesthetics? Are they different between M and non M?
It was rusty and damaged. I replaced it with the same exact part. Yes M is different P/N but not sure if it is a different piece. See post #42 for pics of damage/rust.

                3) Why did you change the hood? Weight savings? Aesthetics? Is the hood different between M and non M?
Weight reduction. All hoods are the same, it's from the non-M page on their site.

                4) how much did the kit cost in US dollars including shipping?
Little under $1000 for everything. Flares, skirts, bumpers, hood, and sunroof. Add ~115 euros for shipping.

                5) How long did it take to receive the kit?
First order was 6 weeks. Second order was 3 weeks.

                6) What made you decide on the Czech kit versus a local company like DTM Fiberworks?
Purchased from DTM all of it minus the sunroof is $2200 before shipping, DTM isn't local for me. Soooo, See #4.

                      ^what he said.

if your quarters are fine, just get normal flares.

cut old arches out, pinch together, weld, grind, seam seal, paint, mount flares. that's all. even less work up front.

I'm really liking the build though, even got me considering one of the Pesch M3 kits. Did you weigh any of the original panels vs the pesch panels? Would be great to know how much weight you've saved, especially in the front end.

it's just a daily. it has hail damage and stuff. not euro worthy, euros also paid for all my fiberglass stuff. just gonna budget 24v and 5 lug it and call it a day.

Never really weighed anything. All their weights are on the site. I have a weight of my car previously and will compare when it is done.

Big update with APEX fitment coming when I'm not lazy. This project is on a little pause while I get the DD e30 running. I took the subframe and trailing arms out of this car to put on it. I'm gonna do a fresh adjustable subframe for this, the one that was in it never really aligned good toe-wise.

i see you purchased all of those parts from overseas, how is the fitment? I am looking to get a few parts from them. What was the stimeated time of arrival once order was placed?

                                great job by the way!
