Had some free time today and worked on cleaning up my shift carrier and installing my z3 1.9 ssk acquired from "thegoodguy" on here as well as UUC twisted DSSR
Don't really know what I want to do with the bay right now. I would love to shave the bay, take care of the unnecessary holes and nasty seam sealer and cover it in something rugged like matte paint or bedliner but my body work experience is slim to none. my main goal right now i guess is to get the swap done so Im able to drive the car and get the bay shave i want without having to pay for towing both ways.
Spent some time cleaning some parts today like timing chains and guide rails. Took the oil pump apart cleaned and put back together.
Tried tackling this thing but the oil and dirt is so caked on and thick that the parts cleaner isn't working like its suppose to. Considering just having it media blasted.
No progress photo of the oil housing. Will get one later.
