Plus next time we rip some kid a new one for poping tires and wrecking into houses, and the internet gets mad at us for being ass holes, we need to be able to show our critics that we too have a gentle loving human side ;)sigpic

Welcome to r3v, I just went through all this with my e30. Timing belt snapped and poof, no more e30 for a while. about 15 total hours and it was back up and running better than before. I used a junkyard head, cleaned it up all pretty and installed that, mine wasn't in very good condition. I had 5 bent exhaust valves.
E30's become very addictive, I have owned 5. Between those 5 I had 2 24v swaps, and a lot of money into them I will never get back.

Day 9:
Sorry we haven't updated the page in a while but we have been working hard on Petunia.
First of all my dad replaced the fuel pump which stopped the whining noise!
As you remember we had problems with the idle; we thought it was a vacuum leak and had the car smoke tested which came out with no vacuum leaks. We then replaced the intake boot from Blunt but that didn't work.
Then we searched for other options and learned about adjusting the throttle position sensor. When we had the car apart cleaning everything and my dad must of adjusted the throttle body wrong which was causing the bad idle. He readjusted the TPS; after that the car idled perfectly!
We also replaced the gears in the odometer because they stopped working!
Now that everything was working well we started working on all of the cosmetics. We order and IS lip and other small parts to make Petunia look better. My dad borrowed a porter cable buffer today and have been working on making her look better.
We also ordered some custom cup holders!
Once the paint comes in from paintscratch.com we will paint the IS lip and install. Here are the latest pictures of Petunia. She is coming along pretty good and the next big expense is wheels!
Stay tuned for the next update!:)... oh yeah I just figured out I posted on my dads accountLast edited by raleigh29; 09-07-2013, 05:36 PM.03 M3 Vert

My hope is that by the time he can drive it, he will have enough sweat and blood equity in it to not hoon the [redacted] out of it.
