Thanks! It has quite a bit more to go, but it's getting there. Your turbo thread was one of the two that sparked my interest in turboing.

Some parts were easy and others I was pulling my hair out. It took me roughly 2 weeks to get the car to idle correctly. In the last week I've got a decent road tune done and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Whatever you do, read everything you can?

Car now idles on standalone. Super happy about that. Coilovers and econoboost gauge arrive tomorrow. Still need to change out the head gasket and head studs as well as clutch and flywheel. Getting there.

Took a break from tuning and installed a few things. Wheel is a Momo Mod 78 and COP kit is from hqautosports

So here is the "base" tune that the Kdfi unit comes with. It's horribly wrong for the m42. I changed the Control Algorithm, Fuel and Ignition Load from Alpha N to Speed Density. I also changed the Req_fuel and adjusted the VE table closer to a setting to match.

I installed the pads on Friday and bed them. I do have SS lines, however I didnt get a chance to flush the system and replace my old fluid with the ATE I bought. I have them on my e90 and I love them.

On another note, standalone went in yesterday and I'm working on getting it going. :)

Nice. I plan on starting my turbo build this year. I want to find another M42 first though.

Some pics of how she currently sits. Might do a video soon as first auto cross is next weekend.

Now the reason this is taking me so long is school. Two years ago I decided I hated corporate America and quit my job. I've been in aviation school training to be a commercial pilot since. At this stage I'm doing a lot of cross country flying and my free time is slim :(

Can't complain though, I get to do this daily!
