Yea was trying not to trim mine and invert the conversion harness so it was at the bottom. But I think it's to big to fit inside the cover. Did you get the relays to fit inside without modification?

Boost you say?!?! DO IT! and post it here.

I also did like Nick and modified my intake. I actually shaved a bit more than just a few fins so I wouldn't need spacers. I would rather shave plastic, than modify my brake booster. I like stopping.

I asked because I am looking to go this route as well. Did you just stack washers for each mount?

Damn I wish I had a red E30, those pics look hawt! If you go low boost, definitely do a build thread or add to this one. Seems like we'll both be having very similar setups.

Good catch. I do actually have 1/4 body spacers on the mounts.

As a disclosure I'm fully aware that putting a small dent in the brake booster isn't exactly the right way to do this. It did however work for me and has for 15K miles without a single ill effect. I will be replacing the booster down the road but for a budget swap, it is a do able option.

Updated current pictures. Haven't done anything but change the oil since the swap. Still puts a smile on my face. Looking into low boost turbo options for next year.

That is good to know. BTW... these NV engines are great! I love mine.

Those trans mounts are going to transmit alot more vibrations than anything. I stuck with all stock rubber mounts for now (except a poly dif bushing) and mine is as smooth as ever. I would like to upgrade to the condor mounts though, I like the feel of solid driveline bushings.

I just finished my M50NV swap. I noticed more vibrations than my eta. What all did you notice with your swap? Noise? Vibrations? Maybe I have another issue. My thought is the urethane transmission mounts transmitting vibrations.

I didn't take any decent pictures of the clearance. I shaved the fins completely down smooth. I recently had to pull the manifold off again and I took a small ball pean hammer and made an ever so slight indent on the booster. Have plenty of room now although I didn't notice any issues with rubbing before hand.
