Car has been running well the last 3 or 4 weeks. Working out a few slight kinks but nothing major. Although with warm weather approaching I can't put off installing my Spal fan anymore. Got stuck in some traffic last night and had to pull over as it crept past the 3/4 mark and had to shut it off for a bit till traffic started moving. Also want to flush and refill my coolant and reseal the thermostat housing so I'll take care of all that this week. And I need to fix my blower motor....again. So it looks like the intake manifold gets to come back off.

Picked up a set of Denso platinum single tip plugs and it really did seem to help with the hesitation.

Another slight issue came about today. Twice today when i went to start it, it cranked for about 10x longer than normal before starting and struggled for a second once started. Seems like week fuel pressure. It did it before I changed the plugs so I know it's not related. Fuel filter is fairly new but the pump is likely OE so it very well could be going out.

Just read through your thread, it's strikingly similar to my build! Excellent work, and good job documenting it all. I don't have patience really to take all the pictures and journal my work. I keep my receipts and that's about it, ha.

Haven't done it yet but here's where I read that.

Ok cool. I was going to eliminate the line from the engine back and loop it a few times and let it vent. I read I believe a 68ohm resister will keep the check engine light from coming on.

I don't run a charcoal canister and just have the tb plugged without issue. I do get a good amount of gas odor with a super full tank especially in summer.

    Interesting. I'll look into that.

Not having the charcoal canister hooked up wouldn't cause any harm correct? It's venting and the the tb port is plugged.

    Engine photo's finally.

Still need to sort a few things. Has a low RPM/cold hesitation and my thermostat housing didn't get a real good seal so it's seeping. Which I don't mind. I was going to drain and flush it anyways since it had some nasty brown stuff in place of coolant when I got the motor. Otherwise it's pulling good and strong, idles smooth and seems to get decent MPG when I don't have my foot in it. God the sound at WOT is addicting.

getting a quick bath at my new job.
