Drove the car around for about 45 very loud, but relatively uneventful minutes. Stopped and bled the radiator a few times as the temp would go up to around 3/4 for a second, then fall back below half, then repeat. It finally started to level out after bleeding it 4-5 times while out. Haven't got on it real good yet because it's still basically open header but it pulls nicely at around 1/2 throttle. Going to an exhaust shop monday to wrap it all up!! Sorry pictures, my photobucket exceeded its bandwidth for a bit.

The car is all done and back home FINALLY! Still need to clean up the wiring on the firewall and a few odds and ends. The exhaust is rattling on the sway bar and I need to put the interior back together. I also found one of the spare DME's I had purchased for trouble shooting has a Dinan chip in it! Score! Drove around 100 miles today without a single hiccup.

Well the car has been driving great for the last few days. No real issues to speak of. So here's a few photo's of the exhaust wrap up on the car.

How do I get my whole unattached exhaust to the shop with my car? Roof rack of course!

Was recommend a small shop in Mansfield Ohio. The tech working on it was a real twat. I just wanted to show him what I was hoping for he was an absolute prick to me. I wasn't trying to hover and watch him work, just talk and show him what I wanted. I left him be and thankfully he didn't screw anything up.

And here's the end result. Stock E36 y-pipe (was cut and needed rewelded). Then they put a slight bend in my existing exhaust and it matched right up. Sounds pretty damn good too. It's got a high flow cat that I'm not sure of the manufacturer and the DynaMax super turbo muffler.

New 02 sensor with plenty of extra wires, lol

And that's about it till I finish up cleaning up the wires in the bay. It pulls nicely, sounds good but the idle is a bit lumpy. I'm suspecting either a dirty ICV which I'll pull and clean or the injectors which I was planning on getting a refreshed set anyways. I need to order a skid plate soon too, already bonked the pan once. I was lucky and found one of my extra 403 DME's I picked up had a Dinan chip in it. Swapped out the stock 402 for the chipped one and the difference is quite noticeable. Much better response and the top end feels a lot stronger.

                      Engine photo's finally.

Still need to sort a few things. Has a low RPM/cold hesitation and my thermostat housing didn't get a real good seal so it's seeping. Which I don't mind. I was going to drain and flush it anyways since it had some nasty brown stuff in place of coolant when I got the motor. Otherwise it's pulling good and strong, idles smooth and seems to get decent MPG when I don't have my foot in it. God the sound at WOT is addicting.

getting a quick bath at my new job.

The hesitation at low RPM, make sure you have GOOD single point Plugs in there. Mine was doing something similar, changed out the plugs, no more hesitation!

Good job! And congrats on the new job!
