17x10 Square Flared, S52 Swapped Track Build

It's time to get this power to the ground! The old 225/50/15 all seasons on 8.5" wheels are being replaced by 255/40/17 EXTREME!!!!!!1!!!! performance tires on 10" wide wheels (kumho 225 wide slicks shown for reference)


Test fit of the wheels this might be a bit of an issue...:



Nothing some duct tape and fiberglass can't fix! with a little help from KAMotors and their fender flares:





The flares only add around 1" of clearance over my rolled/pulled fenders but they change the shape to a more "bubbly" design which allows a big tire/wheel package to travel up higher/further into the fender.

Relevant wheel specs for those interested: 17x10 et +2 in front, 17x10 et +12 in the rear.

Correct, they're BFG rivals I've run the Hankook RS3 and Dunlop Z2 in the past so this was sort of the last of the 3 big street tires to try out.

Sorry I don't know all too much about performance related specs, but is there an advantage to running lower offsets in the front than in the rear? Normally I see people run lower offsets in the rear, but that's usually just for aesthetics.

i have them on a 325is 225/45-15. great tires. really quiets, great grip. a good replacement for the rs-3's. when warm i cant even burn in 1st gear.

From a performance standpoint there isn't really one that I'm aware of, I do feel for auto-x it helps me to avoid clipping cones with my rear tire while making an apex/slalom but as far as doing it on purpose? nope.

I need to be around et0-2 in front to clear the strut any less offset and the rim/tire would rub. the rears don't require as much spacer and for the sake of not having to buy an extra set, not doing the extra cutting required to fit them with a spacer etc I chose to run them without spacers at the track. for street driving I'll likely run a 17x10 rear and 17x9 front combo to help "even" out the look and get the traditional rear wider than front look that most people seem to prefer.

Thanks! unfortunately I don't have any pictures of those yet, after we got it on his lift and started playing around with wheel options we discovered that I could fit a 10" wheel under stock arches. since that was as wide as I planned to go this year we decided to leave the inner fenders in tact on the rear for 1 more year.
